About Programmd.

Programmd. is an Australian catalogue of 40+ training programs, sold as PDFs. The premise is that a training program is a document. You open it on your phone or print it, and follow what it says at the gym.

That is the whole product. The file sits on your phone, or the pages sit in your bag. The plan for Tuesday exists before Tuesday does, and it says the same thing on a rough morning as it did on the day you bought it.

The writing

We write each program session by session. Week ten has its own pages with its own sets, reps and effort targets, because we wrote it with week nine's fatigue in mind. The catalogue runs to thousands of pages of programming.

Each working set carries printed sets, reps, rest and an effort target, a plain number for how close to your limit that set should finish. We worked all of that out at a desk, days before you unrack the bar, with a clear head and nothing heavy overhead.

Most programs open with a calibration week to find your working weights. The common shape after that is two five-week blocks with a deload, an easy week, between them. A short screening page sits before week one in most of them, and each program carries a disclaimer page.

The house rule

The PDFs contain no marketing. We built the catalogue on one rule: the store sells, the program instructs. Once you have bought a program, the pitch is over.

An automated check runs on each build and fails any program whose cover claims something its sessions do not deliver. We take the claim off the cover or the program does not ship.

Owning one

You buy a program once and keep the file. Read it on your phone, or print it and write your numbers on it, then print a fresh copy when the first one wears out. The pages are A4 or Letter and the file needs no account. Nothing about it expires.

The reader we have in mind wants the deciding done before they walk in. We settle session length, exercise order, effort and the timing of the easy weeks at that desk, and write the result down.

The catalogue runs from bodyweight in a spare room to six days a week in a full gym, and each program is built for one set of equipment and stays inside it. One of them matches the gear you own and the week you actually have. Open it, or print it, and walk in.
